WPVibe vs Kitepod: 100 Calls a Day or No Meter

Updated October 31, 2026

WPVibe gives you 100 tool calls in any rolling 24 hours on its free plan, shared across every site you connect. Kitepod doesn't count calls at all.

Almost everything else about the two looks alike. Both are hosted MCP connectors with a plugin on your WordPress site. Both work with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, edit content and page builders, keep theme work in a draft until you publish, and ask before destructive steps. WPVibe is made by SeedProd, and it's a well-built product.

So the choice mostly comes down to the meter, plus a couple of agency features WPVibe has and Kitepod doesn't.

How WPVibe's cap actually works

WPVibe is upfront about this, which helps. A counted call is work your AI does on WordPress through WPVibe: listing or editing content, changing files, running WP-CLI, uploading media. Connecting a site, listing your sites, and loading or saving skills don't count, and failed actions don't count either.

As you get close to the limit, WPVibe adds a short heads-up to your AI's replies. When you hit it, further counted calls are blocked and you're told when allowance frees up. Because it's a rolling 24-hour window, older calls drop off as time passes rather than all at midnight.

Any call budget charges more for careful work than for careless work. An assistant that reads a page, edits a heading, checks the result and fixes the spacing it noticed has used four calls on one small change. Over a site-wide pass, 100 goes quickly.

Kitepod doesn't meter calls because it doesn't run the AI. Your Claude or ChatGPT subscription does the thinking, and Kitepod only carries the request to your site. The one limit is a short per-site rate limit that stops a runaway agent from hammering your server.

Undo beyond drafts and trash

WPVibe's safety is good where it applies. Posts default to draft, deletes go to trash, theme edits stay in a draft, and publishing a theme keeps the old files so you can roll back.

But a menu reshuffle, a Customizer setting or a widget edited in place has no undo listed on WPVibe's pages. Kitepod snapshots every write first, whatever it touches, so you can roll back a single edit or the whole task for 90 days. You'll want it the first time a client says "put it back how it was last week." There's more on it in what WordPress revisions miss.

What WPVibe's Agency plan and ChatGPT listing add

ChatGPT users can find WPVibe in ChatGPT Apps as an official connector. Kitepod is added by hand as a custom MCP server, which takes a minute longer.

The Agency plan has things an agency billing for AI work will want: per-client daily allowances, per-client usage reports with CSV export, and client views that never show WPVibe pricing. Kitepod doesn't report usage per client.

WPVibe also builds classic themes with Tailwind and checks each site before and after a fleet update. If those are the jobs you do most, it's built around them.

Moving from WPVibe to Kitepod

The two connect separately, so you can run both on the same site while you compare.

  1. Put the Kitepod plugin on the site from its zip (Plugins, Add New, Upload). Your site needs WordPress 6.4 and PHP 7.4 or later.
  2. Press Connect in wp-admin, log in to Kitepod, and decide which WordPress account the assistant works under.
  3. Point your assistant at https://kitepod.com/mcp. Claude's path is Customize, then Connectors, then + Add and Add custom connector; ChatGPT's is its plugins page and Add custom MCP server. Log in and approve.
  4. Give it the kind of job you'd normally ration calls for:
Ask your assistant

Go through every page on the Harbor Lane Bikes site, find the ones with no meta description, and write one for each.

  1. Once you're settled, remove the WPVibe connector from your assistant, deactivate its plugin, and revoke the Application Password it used in your WordPress profile.

The Claude side is walked through step by step in connect Claude to WordPress, and WordPress MCP lays out every other option.

Finer points

Is WPVibe free?

Yes, with a cap. The free plan includes every tool and skill and unlimited sites, with 100 tool calls per rolling 24 hours shared across your sites, as of October 2026.

How much does WPVibe cost?

WPVibe's October 2026 pricing page lists Pro at $99 a year for 500 calls a day, Power at $299 for 2,000, Agency at $599 for 5,000 and Scale at $899 for 10,000.

What happens when I hit WPVibe's limit?

WPVibe blocks further counted calls and tells you when allowance frees up. It's a rolling 24-hour window, and you get a heads-up in your AI's replies as you approach the cap.

What counts as a WPVibe tool call?

Listing or editing content, changing files, running WP-CLI and uploading media. Connecting a site, listing sites, loading or saving skills, and failed actions don't count.

Who makes WPVibe?

SeedProd. The connector's footer reads "WPVibe by SeedProd."

On Kitepod, that site-wide meta description pass costs the same as one edit, which is nothing.
