Terms of Service

Last updated 30 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Heffl (“we”, “us”), the operator of Kitepod. By creating an account or using Kitepod, you agree to them. If you use Kitepod for a company or for clients, you agree on their behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

What Kitepod is

Kitepod is a service that lets an AI assistant you choose (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client) read and change WordPress sites you connect through the Kitepod plugin. It adds previews, approvals, a change history and undo around those changes. Kitepod doesn't provide the AI itself; you use your own assistant under your own agreement with its provider.

Price

Kitepod is free to use today. If we add paid features in the future, we'll tell you first, and we'll never charge you without your clear agreement.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 and give us accurate details.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account and on the assistants you connect to it.
  • Tell us at nasim@heffl.com if you think someone else has access to your account.

Your sites

  • Only connect sites you own or are authorised to manage, and only invite people who should see or approve changes to them.
  • When you connect a site, you choose a WordPress user for the assistant to act as. The assistant can do anything that user can do, so choose its role with care.
  • You're responsible for the instructions you give your assistant and for the changes you approve.

AI makes mistakes

AI assistants can misunderstand a request or produce wrong or unexpected results. Kitepod stages risky changes, asks for approval and keeps undo history to reduce the harm, but it can't guarantee a change is correct or that every change can be undone. Review changes before you approve them. Kitepod is not a backup service: keep your own regular backups of every site you connect.

Acceptable use

Don't use Kitepod to:

  • access or change a site you aren't authorised to manage;
  • publish anything illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful, or send spam;
  • attack, overload or probe Kitepod, other users or any site, or get around our rate limits and security;
  • resell or provide Kitepod to others as a hosted service without our written permission.

We may suspend or disconnect accounts or sites that break these rules or put others at risk.

Your content

Your sites and their content stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and send that content only as needed to run Kitepod for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our software

The Kitepod WordPress plugin is open source under the GPL v2 or later. The Kitepod service, website and brand belong to us. Feedback you send us may be used to improve Kitepod without any obligation to you.

Other services

Kitepod works alongside services we don't control, such as your AI assistant, your web host, WordPress and its plugins, and Google sign-in. Their own terms apply, and we aren't responsible for them.

Changes and availability

We're improving Kitepod all the time and may change or remove features. We aim to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Kitepod at any time: disconnect your sites and ask us at nasim@heffl.com to delete your account. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or stop offering Kitepod with reasonable notice.

Disclaimers

Kitepod is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't warrant that changes made through Kitepod will be correct or reversible.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for losses caused by your AI assistant, your host or changes you approved. Our total liability for any claim about Kitepod is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you published, a site you connected without permission, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Kitepod after that, the new terms apply.
